To solve the problem of fraudulent calls to bank customers using social engineering, telecom operators request to give them the authority to block subscribers whom they suspect of fraud. However, while the state bodies are still working on the necessary law, experts suggest using biometrics to authorize questionable operations. The problem is that citizens are in no hurry to submit the necessary data.

Last week, at the 10th Antifraud Russia International Forum, banking professionals, telecom operators, law enforcement officials, and information security experts discussed measures that could protect bank customers from fraudulent calls using social engineering. The situation is depressing as follows from the speeches of experts.
