Group-IB, the international company focused on the prevention of threats in the virtual space, expects an increase in the number of cyberattacks on the personal computers of employees who have switched to working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Group-IB experts predict an increase in the number of cyberattacks on home computers and equipment (routers, switches, video cameras) of employees who have switched to working remotely due to the coronavirus. The risk group includes the personnel of financial institutions, telecom operators, and IT companies, and the purpose of the attacks will be to steal money or personal data,” the press service of the company said (quoted by RIA Novosti).
